Complied by Dorothy Krempl, Letters from the Heart is a book of notes of encouragement that Paul has written to those who support the ministry. It wasn't written as a devotional, but many people use it as such.
Pastor Francis X. Huber of First Christian Assembly in Plainfield, New Jersey, writes in the introduction: "In an era when all of us are inundated with so much information, I thank God that our Lord has raised up a man who is able to communicate God's heart with clarity, compassion, and rich spiritual meaning. If we all would attempt to apply each week just one of Paul's insights into our lives, our homes, our churches and our communities we would soon experience the revival we are all hoping and praying for."
If you have never read any of this modern days son of encouragement's letters, then get ready for an experience with God and yourself, which if applied, will have permanent and eternal results."
Comments from others:
I have especially enjoyed the letters which you write. The thoughts are always a challenge, as they come from God's Word and your experience. Thank you for blessing me in this way.

So often the Scriptures from the monthly newsletter or the notes with receipts were exactly what we needed to hear from the Lord and they encouraged our hearts.

I always received Paul's letters. Each one spoke to me in a personal way. One sent 11/94, I saved (until this day) for what reason I didn't know at the time. But 3 weeks later our daughter-in-law was killed in a car accident, and your question, "Have you ever wondered how God can use you?" became a reality as His wonderful power and grace led me in witnessing of that in the midst of grief.
